Q: How do I place an order for a new Ky-Tai?
A: First go to the "Fabric Choices" link at the top of this page and browse through our different options.  Choose a strap color and then a patterned fabric to go with it (or two if you would like a reversible Ky-Tai).  Once you have decided, click on the order link above which will direct you to our online shop where you can place your order.

Q: What are the basic dimensions of the Ky-Tai?
A: Body Length: 20.5", Top Strap Length: 70-72", Width (at their widest point): 6.5", Waist strap length: 78-80", Width: 4 1/2 "

Q: Tell me more about the Ky-Tai body and straps!
A: The Ky-Tai is an Aisan-inspired mei tai baby carrier.  The body is lightly padded and is contoured to better fit your baby.  The straps are also lightly padded and are also contoured.  This means that they are wider at the shoulders to better distribute your child's weight.  The straps then become narrower as they continue so that it is easier to tie knots near the end.

Q: What size does the Ky-Tai fit up to?  Are extra long straps available?
A: The Ky-Tai generally fits up to a size 18 in womens clothing.  Extra long straps are available for an added fee.  Just add that option at checkout.

Q: What is the weight limit for a Ky-Tai?
A: 35lbs is the suggested weight limit.

Q: Can I send in my own fabric?
A: Absolutely! 3/4 of a yard is all you need for the panel and strap accents.  Contact us for further details.

Q: Can I wear my newborn in the Ky-Tai?
A: Absolutely!  Depending on the size of your little one, you may have to fold the bottom to accomodate them.   As always, you can contact us if you have further questions about wearing your little one.

Q: How do I wear my Ky-Tai?
A: Check out the Instructions link at the top of the page for details and photographs regarding how to wear your little one on your front or back.   If you have further questions, please contact us.

Q: What is the average ship time for my new Ky-Tai?
A: Please allow 2-4 weeks for shipment to leave BrewBaby. This is subject to change as orders increase.  I will provide a firm quote at the time your order is placed.

Q: What color strap fabric do you stock?
A: I currently stock Khaki, Black and Natural brushed twill.

Q: What is a Ky-Tai Keeper?   
A: This is a small drawstring bag to keep your Ky-Tai in when it's not in use. When you are wearing your Ky-Tai this can be used as a small bag to carry essentials for a quick trip out with your little one.  Comfortably fits wipes container, a diaper, wallet, mobile phone and keys.

Q: How are Ky-Tais shipped and how much is shipping?
A: BrewBaby uses USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation for all of its shipping.  Currently, BrewBaby charges a flat shipping rate of $5.  You will receive an email when your order is shipped.  Delivery usually occurs in 2-3 days.  BrewBaby currently ships only to those living within the US.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: BrewBaby guarantees quality to all of its customers.  If there is anything wrong with your Ky-Tai when you receive it, please contact us immediately and we will do what we can to make things right.  If, for one reason or another, you just find that the Ky-Tai is just not for you, our return policy is as follows:
Regular, one sided Ky-Tais are returnable within 30 days of the purchase.  You will receive your refund minus shipping and a $5 restocking fee once we receive your carrier.  Please contact us before shipping for return address and further directions. 
Custom fabric and reversible Ky-Tais are non-returnable. 

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: BrewBaby accepts payment throught Paypal however, you do not need a Paypal account to purchase from us.  You may also pay with a regular credit card.  If you would like to sign up for a Paypal account, you may do so through www.paypal.com. 

We also now accept payment through Revolution Money Exchange.   If you would like to place an order using RME, send your order via email to molly@brewbabyonline.com and an invoice will be sent back to you.  Payment will be expected within 24 hours of placing the order or the order will be cancelled.

Q: Can I wash my Ky-Tai?
A: Your Ky-Tai can be washed in cold water on the gentle cycle in your machine.  I recommend placing your carrier in a mesh lingerie bag or pillowcase while washing to help it retain its shape and remain untangled.  Hang to dry and press with an iron.
